monday moment: crocs

Major got some new shiny shoes for Christmas.

shiny shoes and dirty winter fur pony
I thought maybe the busy trail wouldn't be so bad this early on a Sunday.

If one more person says "How fun, that horse is wearing crocs!"…

I might just run them over.

sigh…

at least not as shiny now…

  1. Those are great. So simple, and look like they won't give rubs. Not to mention the color of course. What brand are they!?

    1. same ones I've used for years, just splurged and bought new ones! They are original Renegades, and they work for Major (no rubs) but all horses/hooves/boots are different. But they are not crocs! sigh…

  2. Renegades worked well for me. Usually two fifty-mile competitive rides, or 150 of trail riding - with some gravel logging roads thrown in :-)

    1. I usually get a whole year (600-800 miles) out of the bases. I have to swap parts, but I like that about them. Glad they worked for you too!

  3. That's great mileage, so much up in WA was on gravel logging roads, even the endurance rides. I had to get bigger captivators for Khari, the regular ones were too small. My hands just couldn't do all the work anymore.
