Our solstice dawned gray and rainy. But sunnier days are ahead. This December has been especially dreary with cold, gray, damp days for almost the whole month. But we escaped up into the foothills for some sun and fantastic trails.

Empire Mine trails

No goals for the year ahead except to enjoy time on the trail with Miles and friends. Hopefully camping, new adventures and more time for priorities like pets and family.

Have a wonderful holiday season, enjoy the quiet or adventures, whatever the season brings you. May you be content like two cats in front of a fire, or a pony enjoying a newly-green field.
